Dr. Jackson Bean, DDS
After graduation from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Dr. Jackson Bean was accepted to Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. He was one of two students selected for a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Zale Lipshy Hospital and Parkland Hospital.
Because Dr. Bean is zealous about his profession he has sought to increase his knowledge of implant and restorative dentistry by attending conferences and classes such as the Carl Misch International Implantology Institute where he learned dental implantology from the renowned implant surgeon, Dr. Carl Misch, and author of the most-used textbook in dental education, Contemporary Implant Dentistry. He also added to his competency in advanced implant placement and bone augmentation procedures at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, the Kois Center for Dental Excellence in Seattle, Washington, and the Pikos Institute in Florida.
More recently Dr. Bean completed a residency under Dr. Paulo Malo, the inventor of the All-on-4 and Teeth In A Day procedure at the Malo Clinic in Lisbon, Portugal. In Cerritos, California, he completed training in Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAP), a procedure where teeth damaged by periodontal disease can be saved instead of extracted. He also received training from Dr. Jose Carlos Martins da Rosa, the inventor of the Immediate Dentoalveolar Restoration (IDR Protocol), a procedure whereby badly damaged or broken teeth are extracted, an implant is placed, bone is grafted using the patient’s existing anatomy in another location and a crown is cemented all in one appointment. In addition, Dr. Bean frequently attends the Scottsdale Centre for the newest innovations in CEREC, a technique that allows crown and bridge restorations to be completed in one visit.
In 2019, Dr. Bean completed a one-year Periodontal Fellowship with the International Academy of Dental Implantology along with a Tunnel Bone Grafting / MIT Oral Surgery Program under Harvard University’s Dr. Sam Lee. He has now also completed training in bone marrow harvesting which utilizes a patient’s own stem cells for grafting which provides healing potential, unlike other techniques.
Dr. Bean is dedicated to personalized, comprehensive dental care that is convenient for his patients in and around Greenville, Texas. In his free time, Dr. Bean is an avid fisherman, a prolific private, instrument-rated pilot and he enjoys traveling with his wife Jennifer.
